The short version

I built this practice for taxpayers who need context, not just forms.

I grew up in Flushing, Queens, the son of Israeli immigrants. From an early age, I understood what it means to move between two worlds and how quickly paperwork, language, and government systems can become overwhelming when your financial life crosses borders.

That background shapes how I work today. Many clients come to A Plus Tax because they have more than a basic W-2 return. They may have Israeli bank accounts, FBAR filing questions, a small business, an S corporation, rental property, bookkeeping that needs cleanup, or an IRS letter they do not know how to answer. My job is to slow the problem down, organize the facts, and give the client a clear path forward.

Background

Accounting experience, IRS representation rights, and a business owner’s point of view.

A tax advisor should understand the numbers, the rules, and the pressure clients feel when they are trying to make decisions with incomplete information.

2002

Accounting foundation

I studied accounting at Queens College and earned my degree in 2002. From there, I built my career from the ground up in bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, and advisory work.

Public accounting

Hands-on client work

At a top 100 public accounting firm, I saw how often taxpayers were either overpaying or completely in the dark about what they owed. Both problems were fixable when the facts were organized and the client had the right guidance.

2018

Enrolled Agent designation

I earned the Enrolled Agent credential, a federal tax credential that allows me to represent taxpayers before the IRS. That matters when a client has a notice, audit, balance due, or tax problem that requires more than return preparation.

Practice owner

A Plus Tax & Accounting

I opened my own practice to work directly with individuals, small businesses, and Israeli-American families who need a practical advisor. I am also a real estate investor and business owner, so I understand the owner-side questions that come up during the year.

COVID relief

ERC, PPP, and urgent support

During COVID-19, I helped clients secure millions in relief through ERC credits, PPP, and related programs. That period reinforced how important it is for business owners to have someone who can move quickly and explain the options clearly.

How I work

Clear, direct, and built around the actual problem.

Start with the facts

Before recommending a filing position, entity choice, payment plan, or response to a notice, I want to understand what happened, what documents exist, and what deadline is driving the issue.

Translate the tax language

Tax rules can sound more complicated than they are. I focus on plain-English explanations, so you know what the IRS or state agency is asking for and what your options are.

Think beyond one return

A tax return is often the result of decisions made months earlier. I help clients connect tax preparation, bookkeeping, estimated taxes, FBAR, payroll, and planning so the year makes more sense.

Use technology carefully

I have a genuine interest in AI, automation, and better systems for small businesses. I use that mindset to make tax and accounting workflows cleaner, faster, and easier for clients to manage.

Support clients virtually

The practice is based in Flushing, Queens, but clients do not need to commute. I work by secure document exchange, video conference, phone, email, text, and WhatsApp.

Stay accessible

Many clients need guidance between filing seasons. Annual membership, bookkeeping support, and IRS resolution services are built for people who want an ongoing tax relationship.

Israeli-American focus

Cross-border tax support is easier when you do not have to explain Israel every year.

I am fluent in Hebrew, and I regularly help Israeli-American clients who maintain ties to Israel. That can include Israeli bank accounts, foreign pension questions, foreign income documents, real estate, family activity, business interests, FBAR filing, and the general stress of trying to comply with U.S. tax rules while living a life that spans more than one country.

The goal is not to make clients feel buried in forms. The goal is to identify what applies, what does not, what needs to be filed, and what should be tracked for next year. When a client works with the same advisor year after year, the background stays in the file instead of starting over every tax season.

Services

A Plus Tax connects the work that affects your return.

The firm is not limited to once-a-year tax preparation. Clients often need several pieces to work together: clean books, correct filings, timely notices, and a plan for the next year.

Tax Preparation

Individual and business tax preparation for Israeli-Americans, dual citizens, small business owners, S corporations, partnerships, rental property owners, and FBAR filers.

IRS Problem Resolution

Help with IRS letters, state notices, back taxes, payment plans, penalty issues, and representation matters that need a federal tax professional.

Bookkeeping

Monthly reconciliation, cleanup, setup, and tax-ready reporting for business owners who want their books to support better tax decisions.

Annual Membership

Year-round tax access, planning, estimates, routine notice support, and annual filing support for clients who want ongoing guidance.

Business Set Up

Support for LLC formation, entity questions, EIN setup, S corporation election considerations, and getting the tax side organized from the start.

Tax Strategy Consulting

Focused consulting for owners, investors, and cross-border taxpayers who need a clear tax opinion before making a business or financial move.

“Most tax stress comes from uncertainty. My job is to organize the facts, explain the rules in plain language, and help you make the next right move.”

Alad Adar, EA

Beyond the office

Practical by nature.

Outside of work, I travel, stay active, and play golf. I also follow AI and automation closely because I believe small businesses benefit when repetitive administrative work becomes easier. This website redesign is part of that same mindset: use better tools, communicate more clearly, and keep improving the client experience.

Questions

About working with A Plus Tax

Do you only work with clients in Queens or New York?

No. The practice is based in Flushing, Queens, NY, but I serve clients nationwide by video conference, phone, email, text, and WhatsApp. Many clients are outside New York and prefer a virtual process.

What is an Enrolled Agent?

An Enrolled Agent is a federally authorized tax practitioner with the right to represent taxpayers before the IRS. That credential is especially useful for IRS notices, audits, balances due, and tax resolution matters.

Yes. A major focus of the practice is helping Israeli-Americans, dual citizens, and taxpayers with foreign account reporting questions, including FBAR filing and related U.S. tax issues.

Can you help in Hebrew?

Yes. I am fluent in Hebrew and can work with clients in English or Hebrew, which is often helpful when documents, family context, or financial accounts connect to Israel.

Do you handle both tax preparation and bookkeeping?

Yes. Tax preparation and bookkeeping often affect each other. A Plus Tax provides tax preparation, bookkeeping setup and cleanup, monthly reconciliation, annual membership, and business tax support.

What kind of clients are the best fit?

The best fit is usually a taxpayer who wants clarity and an ongoing relationship: Israeli-American families, small business owners, S corporation shareholders, real estate investors, self-employed taxpayers, and people dealing with IRS or state tax notices.
